M&T Bank had already adopted SharePoint as a core collaboration platform and recognized its potential to support business processes beyond document sharing. The Approach
The engagement focused on extending SharePoint into a structured process automation platform. A series of form-based solutions were designed and implemented using a combination of InfoPath forms, SharePoint lists, and workflow automation.
These solutions supported a range of business scenarios, including time-off requests, invoice processing, and delegation of invoice approval authority. Each process was built on secured SharePoint lists to ensure appropriate access controls, traceability, and data integrity. Workflows automated routing, approvals, notifications, and status updates, replacing manual steps and reducing reliance on email or paper-based handling.
