The Challenge
SB LiftOff operates in a fast-paced environment where mergers and acquisitions are a core part of its growth strategy. Managing M&A activities requires tight coordination across teams, structured approvals, and clear visibility into onboarding and integration processes. Prior to this initiative, many of these workflows relied on manual steps, fragmented communication, and limited process standardization, increasing operational overhead and the risk of delays or inconsistencies.
As transaction volume and complexity increased, SB LiftOff needed a scalable, repeatable approach to manage M&A processes while maintaining control, traceability, and collaboration across stakeholders.
The Approach
Devoto Studio designed and implemented a tailored solution built on Microsoft 365, with SharePoint serving as the central collaboration and process hub. The focus was on automating key stages of the M&A lifecycle, including onboarding workflows, approvals, and cross-team coordination.
Custom workflows were developed to standardize approvals, reduce manual intervention, and ensure clear ownership at each step of the process. SharePoint publishing workflows were implemented to manage content updates, enabling structured review and approval cycles, along with automated notifications surfaced directly on the landing page to keep users informed in real time.
Throughout the implementation, emphasis was placed on usability, governance, and alignment with SB LiftOff’s operational model, ensuring the solution integrated seamlessly into day-to-day activities.
The Outcome
The automation initiative significantly improved efficiency and consistency across SB LiftOff’s M&A operations. Teams gained clearer visibility into onboarding and approval processes, while automated workflows reduced turnaround times and manual effort. Real-time notifications and centralized collaboration enabled faster decision-making and better alignment across stakeholders.
By leveraging Microsoft 365 and SharePoint-based automation, SB LiftOff established a scalable foundation for managing mergers and acquisitions with greater agility, control, and confidence—allowing the organization to focus on strategic growth rather than administrative overhead.
